Writing Update

Writing Update

It's been some time since I've provided an update on my fiction. Considering winter is the season for pulling inward and reflecting, it seemed timely to share with you today.

My current WIP is over the halfway point. The writing has been slow, but meaningful. Changes are taking place for all the characters as they transition from reactive to the things that happen to them to actively driving themselves towards their own fate, even if they do not know where those roads end.

Maybe I was an ambitious fool for taking on an epic fantasy with 4 POV characters. It's seeming more and more likely that this draft will end north of 200k words. Its publishability will come into question based on length alone, but maybe the challenge is what I need.

They say if you want to grow, you pick the hardest option. The one that tests you and forces you to improve. I'm tired, boss, but I'm not giving up.
